In early May 2005, Carol and I flew to the Bichon Frise National Breed Specialty Show in Indianapolis to (finally!) pick up our puppy from breeder Karla Matlock. He was born February 9, and was just short of four months old when we got him. Although we brought a shortlist of names, we didn't decide on "QBit" until we had had a day to watch him in action, running around our hotel room, launching himself into the bathtub, and getting into places we didn't think he could. He moved so quickly that he seemed to get from one place to another without passing through the intervening space, so we figured he had a bit of the quantum about him. Runner-up was "Comet," with "Q-Tip" a distant third. (He'll clean out your ears very thoroughly if you let him.) I'll add photos to this album as we take them, so come back now and then!
